<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas adsorbent that is capable of sufficiently exerting gas adsorbency to harmful components in a tabaco and scarcely emits offensive odor ingredients such as amine series impurities and free harmful components such as aromatic compounds which are harmful to health, each derived from the gas adsorbent per se, when the adsorbent is allowed to contact a gas stream of high velocity as obserbed when it is allowed to pass through a tabacco filter. <P>SOLUTION: The gas adsorbent is provided which consists of a weakly basic anion exchange resin with a mean micropore radius of 330 Å or longer and 3,000 Å or less, amine eluted amount of 10 μ equivalents/g or less, content of monocyclic aromatic compound of 4 mg/g or less, neutral saline decomposed capacity of 0.43 milliequivalents/g or less, and an acid adsorbent capacity of 1.5 milliequivalents/g or less as physical properties, and containing an amino group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
