The child seat assembly (2) is provided with a child seat (3) having a belt system (4) with a belt buckle (5), where the belt buckle has an open or closed state which is monitored by a control device (7). A sensor system (6) is provided to detect the open or closed state of the belt buckle. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a vehicle; and (2) a method for monitoring a belt system of a child seat.
