PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellulose fiber or a cellulose fiber product having not only excellent dimensional stability, but also excellent water absorptivity and heat conductivity, and to provide a method for producing them. SOLUTION: The cellulose fiber or the cellulose fiber product is bound with a trehalose by at least one kind of chemical bond selected from the group consisting of an ester bond, an acetal bond, an ether bond and a urethane bond. When the cellulose fiber or the cellulose fiber product is subjected to a dimension-stabilizing finishing treatment, reduction in water absorptivity and thermal conductivity are not avoided, but the fiber or the fiber product is treated with trehalose, the water-absorptivity and the heat conductivity are improved without damaging the dimensional stability.
