PURPOSE: A universal serial bus device and an operating method thereof are provided to perform data transceiving between USB flash drives in an environment in which there is not a computing device. CONSTITUTION: A USB interface is connected with a computer or another USB device. A charging unit(204) supplies power from the USB interface. A battery(206) stores power which is transferred from the charging unit. A controlling unit(218) controls the USB interface in a master or a slave mode. A memory unit(210) transfers data according to control of the controlling unit.
