PURPOSE: A rubber composition for tire tread is provided to improve thermal deterioration of tread rubber through high heat generated during high speed traveling, to improve grip performance, thereby environmental friendly, reducing cost, and being continuously supplied. CONSTITUTION: A rubber composition for tire tread comprises 100.0 parts by weight of crude rubber, and 2-50 parts by weight of whale oil. The specific gravity of the whale oil is 0.91-0.925, the iodine value is 120-150, and the saponification value is 185-195. The rubber composition additionally comprise 1-150 part by weight of ultrafine carbon black particles of which iodine adsorption is 500-1000 m^2/g, nitrogen adsorption specific area(N2SA) is 300-1000 m^2/l, DBP absorption is 360-495 m^2/g, and BET specific surface area is 100-1000 m^2/l, on the basis of 100.0 parts by weight of the crude rubber.
