The present invention concerns cementing compositions and methods for using such cementing compositions for sealing a subterranean zone penetrated by a wellbore. The cementing compositions include a cementitious material, zeolite and a mixing fluid. More particularly, the cementing compositions of the inventions are suitable for sealing oiling gas wells in connection with a drilling and completion of such wells.
