PURPOSE: An authentication system of a WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network) environment and method thereof are provided to authenticate a terminal apparatus based on authentication information by receiving the authentication information for the terminal. CONSTITUTION: In case a terminal apparatus contacts to a WLAN access apparatus(200) in the reception of a public WLAN service, the terminal apparatus transmits an authentication request to the contacted WLAN access apparatus. The terminal apparatus receives authentication information for the terminal apparatus from the contacted WLAN access apparatus based on identification information including the authentication request according to the authentication information received from the terminal apparatus. The WLAN access apparatus authenticates the terminal apparatus based on the received authentication information. |
