MULTIMEDIA DEVICE USING MULTIPLE IMAGE SENSORS HAVING DIFFERENT TYPES AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A multimedia device using multiple image sensors of different types and a control method thereof are provided to accurately identify users around the multimedia device using the multiple image sensors of different types. CONSTITUTION: A multimedia device tracks a first body area and a second body area of at least one surrounding user using a first image sensor(S2610). The multimedia device performs closeup photographing of the first body area tracked by using a second image sensor(S2620). The multimedia device transmits image data of the photographed first body area to a counterpart device of a video call service(S2630). The multimedia device controls at least one function of the video call service based on a tracking result of the second body area(S2640).
