System and method for automatic volume control

PURPOSE: An automatic volume adjusting system and an automatic volume adjusting method are provided to quickly separate a self sound from external noises and only use the external noises for adjusting volume. CONSTITUTION: A sound receiving unit(120) receives a signal mixing an external sound signal outputted from an external sound source of a sound generating device and a self sound signal outputted from the sound generating device. A signal separating unit(130) separates the external sound signal from the mixing signal. A control unit(110) outputs a volume adjusting signal to the sound generating device based on the signal level of the self sound signal and the signal level of the external sound signal.
