PURPOSE: An initialization apparatus and method thereof are provided to reduce system maintenance costs by using an ethernet physical apparatus. CONSTITUTION: An ethernet physical layer apparatus(200) detects a power initialization pattern from a frame received through an ethernet network. The ethernet physical layer apparatus outputs power initialization signals. A power unit(220) receives the power initialization signal from a PLD(Programmable Logic Device). The power unit initializes the power of a base station.
