System and method for monitoring theft of power line

PURPOSE: A system and a method for monitoring robbery of a power line are provided to effectively and rapidly monitor robbery of a power line by exchanging robbery signals and unique code signals between a power line robbery determining unit and terminal units. CONSTITUTION: A system for monitoring robbery of a power line(1000) comprises a power line robbery determining unit(100) and multiple terminal units(200). The power line robbery determining unit is installed in one side of a power line and wirelessly transmits robbery signals if power is not applied to the power line. The multiple terminal units are installed in the other side of the power line and receives the robbery signals from the power line robbery determining unit. The multiple terminal units transmit each unique code signal to the power line robbery determining unit through power line communication.
