PURPOSE: A text input device for touch screen and a method thereof are provided to increase character input speed by displaying a character on a screen by drag operation on a touch keypad. CONSTITUTION: A storing unit(110) stores an associated consonant, a plurality of cardinal vowels, and an associated vowel. An output controlling unit(120) outputs a first text key array and a second text array on a screen. The output controlling unit outputs a third text key array on the screen. A consonant calling key of the third text key array calls the first text key array.
