PURPOSE: Automatic opening and closing device for a trunk lid of an automobile using a combination torsion bar and gas spring is provided to prevent the vibration of an opened trunk lid and reduce the sudden opening speed of the lid by using the speed control function of a gas spring, and open the trunk lid without the additional force from a driver using the combination of the gas compression power of a gas spring and the elastic power of a torsion bar due to deformation. CONSTITUTION: Automatic opening and closing device for a trunk lid of an automobile using a combination of torsion bar and gas spring comprises a fixing bracket(10), a hinge arm(20), a rotating link(30), two torsion bars(40), and a gas spring(50). The fixing bracket is coupled with the inner surface of a trunk. One portion of the hinge arm is coupled with a fixing bracket and the other portion is coupled with the lower portion of a trunk lid. The rotating link is coupled with one side of the hinge arm by a hinge. The two torsion bars cross the trunk while crossing each other. One portion of a torsion bar is coupled with the fixing bracket to be rotated and the bent portion of a torsion bar is coupled with a rotating link. The torsion bar rotates the hinge arm by torsional force. The gas spring rotates the hinge arm by gas extension power.
