The assembly has a socket (102) comprising a socket body (103) presenting a longitudinal housing in which a longitudinal insert (106) is arranged. Longitudinal maintaining units (108, 115) longitudinally maintain connection between a plug (101) and the socket. The maintaining units have complementary magnetic elements i.e. continuous magnets, arranged respectively on connection faces (107, 114) of a plug body (110) and the socket body, so that the elements on the bodies are partially arranged in opposite direction and coupled at the time of the connection of the plug to the socket. The magnetic elements of the plug body and/or the socket body extend on a circumference from the connection face.
