The apparatus has a calculator, an adjustment interface, an input acquisition interface and display screens, where the apparatus is adapted to a ship by the adjustment interface. The adjustment interface adjusts length, width and average height of the ship. The display screens display information related to lateral and front thrusts of the wind, and the estimated maximum lateral and frontal thrust of the wind, which are calculated in real-time. Information related to speed and direction of the wind coming from a wind vane and an anemometer is compatible with an input card of the calculator.
