PURPOSE: A physical examination device for photographing anuses of prisoners and a controlling method thereof are provided to prevent a reluctance between prisoners and a prison officer. CONSTITUTION: A photographing unit(20) is installed in a first partition(10) which is tightly shut and includes a camera(40) which photographs the anuses of prisoners. A monitoring unit(80) is installed in a second partition(70) which is separated from the first partition. The monitoring unit shows a photographing signal of the photographing unit. A transmitting unit(100) transmits the photographing signal of the photographing unit to the monitoring unit.
