The assembly (1) has a cup (2) for upper support of a suspension system of a wheel, and a wheel passage (3) for the wheel. The cup and the wheel passage are formed integrally as one piece of a thermoplastic polymeric material such as polypropylene, where the thermoplastic polymeric material is loaded with mineral fibers. Upper reinforcement ribs (21, 22) project from an outer surface of the cup, and lateral reinforcing ribs (32, 33) project from an interior wall of the wheel passage. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for manufacturing a frame assembly (2) a motor vehicle comprising a suspension system.
