The lid (1) has a plastic bearing element arranged among metal case elements (2a, 2b, 2c) made from a sheet metal plate. A joint (3) is maintained in a peripheral and closed groove of the bearing element and arranged at a side of the lid turned toward an inner space of a cooking apparatus during assembling of the lid with the apparatus by a rod (4) between two adjacent case elements. The joint allows sealed closing of the lid on the apparatus. The rod is surrounded by a plastic or rubber end piece (9). The bearing element is in the form of a plate with structural elements on two sides.
