New TCV coat protein variant suppressing plant gene silencing and uses thereof

PURPOSE: A CP mutant of TCV(turn crinkle virus) in which the 4th amino acid is mutated into another amino acid is provided to improve plant disease resistance. CONSTITUTION: A CP mutant is prepared by mutating the 4th amino acid(aspartate, D) of a TCV(turnip crinkle virus) coat protein(CP) into another amino acid(tyrosine, Y). The mutant has an amino acid sequence of sequence number 6. The gene encoding the CP mutant has a base sequence of sequence number 5. A recombinant plant expression vector contains the CP mutant gene and a foreign gene at the 5'-terminal. A method for preparing a transgenic plant comprises a step of transforming the recombinant plant expression vector into a plant cell. A composition for enhancing gene silencing suppression in a plant contains the TCV CP mutant gene.
