ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY FIBER-REINFORCED CONCRETE

PURPOSE: An environmentally-friendly fiber-reinforced concrete is provided to improve slump and mechanical properties by including kenaf fiber. CONSTITUTION: An environmentally-friendly fiber-reinforced concrete includes 0.3-3kg of kenaf fiber per 1m^3 of cement mixture. The cement mixture comprises30-60 parts by weight of water, 100-300 parts by weight of fine aggregate, 150-400 parts by weight of coarse aggregate, and 0.1-5 parts by weight of an admixture. The average length of the kenaf fibers are 0.1-2cm. A slump values which are measured by KS F 2402 rules for the fiber reinforced concrete satisfies equation 1 which follows. Equation 1: Initial slump value(mm) -15mm<= slump value(mm) <= initial slump value(mm) +15mm. In equation 1, the slump value is a measured slump value 30 minutes after manufacturing unsolidified concrete.
