<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of knitting a fabric, capable of knitting a knitted portion without loosening by use of a flat-knitting machine comprising a compound needle having a needle main body and two sliders. <P>SOLUTION: A method of knitting a fabric, comprises, when knitting the fabric, repeatedly forming an extra stitch 2 which is a new stitch following a target stitch 1 which is one of a stitch in a base end course formed in one needle bed (BB) of forward and backward needle beds while transferring the target stitch 1 in the base end course to a knitting needle of the opposing other needle bed (FB), from one end to the other end in a longitudinal direction of the needle beds, in which each extra stitch 2 is knitted while moving a yarn-feeding port 8 in an opposite direction (a right direction on the paper surface) from a forming direction, the forming direction being a direction in which the extra stitch 2 is sequentially formed in the longitudinal direction of the needle beds. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
