<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a positive electrode can for an alkaline battery securely preventing the alkaline battery from leaking. <P>SOLUTION: The positive electrode can 11 for an alkaline battery 10 is a cylindrical pressed component having an opening 16, a trunk 17, and a bottom 18.
