<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise throughput performing high-resolution image recording. <P>SOLUTION: An inkjet printer includes a supply part for supplying a recording medium, a drum for suction holding and transporting the recording medium, a line head for ejecting ink to the recording medium from a plurality of nozzles arranged at a predetermined nozzle pitch and recording an image, a head moving mechanism for moving the line head in a nozzle pitch direction, and a discharge part for discharging the recording medium. The line head is moved whenever the drum rotates one revolution. When the drum rotates n times (n is an integer of 2 or more), an image is recorded on one recording medium n times. At least two recording mediums are held on the outer periphery surface of the drum all together.
