In order to generate a novel security feature for documents of value and/or security documents, a document of value and/or a security document 10 having preferably at least one document layer 13, 14 is created. A first pattern formed from first image elements 14.1, 14.2, 14.3, 14.4, 14.5 is located in one or more first planes. Furthermore, a second pattern, which is formed from second image elements 13.1, 13.5 and is arranged in register in relation to the first image elements 14.1, 14.2, 14.3, 14.4, 14.5 of the first pattern, is located in one or more second planes. The second image elements 13.1 are located in front of the first image elements 14.1, 14.2, 14.3, 14.4, as seen from a viewing side of the document 10.
