Provided is a communication system which communicates between a base station device (101) and a terminal device (102). When reporting data and reception quality information to a base station device via a channel used in data transmission, the terminal device reports the reception quality information with the same spatial multiplexing method as the spatial multiplexing method for the data when the reception quality information is information which is reported aperiodically, and reports the reception quality information with a separate spatial multiplexing method from the spatial multiplexing method for the data when the reception quality information is information which is reported periodically. When extracting the reception quality information which is reported from the terminal device together with the data, the base station device extracts the reception quality information as the same spatial multiplexing method as the spatial multiplexing method for the data when the reception quality information is information which is reported aperiodically, and extracts the reception quality information as a separate spatial multiplexing method from the spatial multiplexing method for the data when the reception quality information is information which is reported periodically.
