<p>The purpose of the present invention is to provide a faster, simpler, cheaper, high-precision method for analyzing PCBs in an oil. Said polychlorinated-biphenyl analysis method, in which the concentration of polychlorinated biphenyls in an oil is measured, is characterized by the inclusion of a pretreatment step wherein a sample of an oil that contains polychlorinated biphenyls is made to flow downwards through a solid-phase extraction column filled with particles of a copolymer containing divinylbenzene and a methacrylate organic monomer as monomer components, thereby bringing the sample into contact with said particles and separating the sample into polychlorinated biphenyls and oil, yielding an eluate containing said polychlorinated biphenyls. The obtained polychlorinated-biphenyl-containing eluate is then subjected to sulfuric-acid treatment, neutralization, dehydration, condensation, and the like.</p> |
