<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a virtual information imparting device which accurately determines an imparting position for virtual information associated with an object in a real space that a user observes through an imaging device such as a camera. <P>SOLUTION: The virtual information imparting device includes means of inputting an image of the latest time output from an image pickup device; means of extracting a feature point group from the input image, and computing attitude information representing the position and attitude of the image pickup device and three-dimensional information on feature points using the feature point group; means of inputting pointing information on a position specified on the image, determining a body area of an object to which virtual information desires to be imparted through area division processing using pixel values constituting the image, selecting a feature point group included in the body area by performing mask processing on the body area for the extracted feature point group, and determining a measurement point group as three-dimensional information corresponding to the feature point group included in the body area; and means of determining the position in the real space to which the virtual information is imparted based upon the computed attitude information and measurement point group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
