<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably notify the state, where the remaining amount of a recording medium runs low, by a simple structure when the remaining amount of the recording medium runs low, in a recording apparatus for performing recording to the recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: A printer for performing recording on rolled paper, includes: a rolled paper storage unit 17 for storing the rolled paper; a top cover provided openably and closably in an opening for taking the rolled paper in and out the rolled paper storage unit 17; a driving wheels row 40 and a conveyance motor for opening the top cover; and a control device for controlling the driving wheels row 40 and the conveyance motor to open the top cover when the remaining amount of the rolled paper stored in the rolled paper storage unit runs lower than a predetermined amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
