<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heating cooker, in which a main body 10 and a top plate 3 can be easily assembled with each other, and which can restrain erroneous detection of boiling over due to distortion of the top plate 3 and a long-term use. <P>SOLUTION: The heating cooker comprises: a main body 10; a top plate 3 which is arranged on the main body 10 and on which a heated object can be located; a heating coil 4 arranged below the top plate 3; an electrode 11 arranged below the top plate 3; an electrostatic capacity detection circuit 9 for detecting an electrostatic capacitance between the electrode 11 and a predetermined reference potential; an operation control circuit 14 for judging boiling over based on detection results of the electrostatic capacitance detection circuit 9 and controlling the heating coil 4; and an elastic body 18 for energizing the electrode 11 toward the top plate 3.
