GAMING MACHINE, AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gaming machine for diversifying a display mode of symbols by rotations of reels.

SOLUTION: The gaming machine includes: a plurality of rotation reels; a symbol display area where symbols are displayed in a stopped state by the stop of the rotation reels; a display for displaying video; a multiple color light-emitting backlight for individually irradiating a symbol with light from its back; and a controller for starting a second game when a pattern of specific symbols is displayed in the symbol display area. The controller executes: (a) determining a magnification of each of a plural kinds of colors that can be displayed by the multiple color light-emitting backlight to display it on the display; (b) determining an emission color by means of the multiple color light emitting backlight behind the specific symbols from a plural kinds of colors capable of being displayed; and (c) a payout of a number which is obtained by multiplying a dividend distribution corresponding to the pattern of the specific symbols by the magnification that corresponds to the color determined in the process (b), from among the magnifications of the respective colors, the magnifications being determined in the process (a).
