The axle (100) has right- and left trailing arms (102a, 102b) swingably linking at a vehicle body and a cross beam (104) that interconnects the arms along vehicle transverse direction, and is rigidly coupled with the arms. A profile cross-section of the cross beam comprises a change of-direction in a partial section such that the cross beam includes side profile walls running in a different plane. One of the side profile walls is connected with the other side profile wall or with a base profile wall by a metal sheet, which is arranged to the arms between connection regions of the cross beam.
