PURPOSE: A device for providing a mobile P2P service and a method thereof are provided to minimize communication resources required for providing a P2P service in a wireless network. CONSTITUTION: A communication unit(31) receives a content request from a requesting terminal. A candidate pier list providing unit(33) checks whether requested content exists in a cell by content information. When the requested content exist in the cell, the candidate peer list providing unit generates a candidate peer list made of terminal IDs of a terminal which stores the requested content. The candidate peer list providing unit transmits the candidate peer list to a corresponding terminal through the communication unit.
