<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire which can improve uneven wear resistance performance while maintaining drainage performance. <P>SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire 1 has a bilaterally asymmetric tread pattern with the orientation thereof specified for mounting to a vehicle. Longitudinal grooves 3 include an inner shoulder longitudinal groove 3A disposed on an innermost side of the vehicle, and an outer shoulder longitudinal groove 3B disposed on an outermost side of the vehicle. Transverse grooves 4 include inner shoulder transverse grooves 11 and outer shoulder transverse grooves 12. The inner shoulder transverse grooves 11 include a first inner shoulder transverse groove 11A extending inward in a tire axial direction from the outside of a vehicle inner side tread edge 2i and terminating without reaching the inner shoulder longitudinal groove 3A, and a second inner shoulder transverse groove 11B extending inward in the tire axial direction from the outside of the vehicle inner side tread edge 2i and opening into the inner shoulder longitudinal groove 3A.
