<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that suppresses image shrink or color shift that occurs partially in one image. <P>SOLUTION: A tandem-type image forming apparatus employing so-called a direct transfer system shifts a position of the entire M toner image toward the rear end side of a sheet along the surface of a photoreceptor in the direction of movement thereof, to reduce color shift, the color shift being caused by overlapping of a portion of the M toner image, which is transferred to the sheet in a second state after a pair of fixing rollers has applied conveyance force to the tip side of the sheet, with a portion of a K toner image, which is transferred to the sheet in a first state before the pair of fixing rollers applies conveyance force to the sheet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
