<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus provided with a contacting module which performs vapor-liquid contacting efficiently for distillation, mass transfer, and heat transfer. <P>SOLUTION: The contacting module includes a pair of demisters 24 disposed spaced apart, and a liquid distributor 22 located between the pair of demisters. The demisters and the liquid distributor define a contacting volume 56 of steam and liquid. The demister has an inlet surface 42 in fluid communication with the contacting volume and an outlet surface 44 in fluid communication with the other side. The liquid distributor has an outlet 34 in fluid communication with the contacting volume. The apparatus has a constitution in which a plurality of contacting modules are arranged side by side in a receiving pan 26 to form one stage, and a plurality of which are vertically arranged in piles. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
