<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact power supply apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: When voltage detection means 311 detects a voltage Vs1 of a first battery 1 to find that the voltage Vs1 is less than a first value V1, a control circuit 310 closes a first switching element 112 to apply the sum of voltages of the first battery 1 and a second battery 111 to a DC/DC converter 210, which in turn boosts it for supply to a load 4. When the voltage Vs1 is not less than the first value V1 and is less than a second value V2, the first switching element 112 is opened and the DC/DC converter 210 is operated. When the voltage Vs1 is not less than the second value V2, the first switching element 112 is opened and the DC/DC converter 210 is stopped to apply the voltage of the first battery 1 to the load 4 as it is. The voltage Vs2 of the second battery 111 can compensate a temporary voltage drop to facilitate a reduced capacity of the DC/DC converter 210 and miniaturize the power supply apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
