<p>The present invention pertains to a method for producing a conveyor belt (1) in which a belt main body is formed from a crosslinked rubber and in which a galvanized steel cord (3) is buried into the belt main body as the core body, the method involving a process for burying the steel cord (3) into an uncrosslinked rubber composition (20) for forming the belt main body and a process for crosslinking the uncrosslinked rubber composition (20), wherein a steel cord, in which the ratio of the amount (MZn) of zinc in the form of metal and the amount (MZnO) of zinc in the form of oxides exceeds 0.05 on the galvanized surface of the steel cord when MZn/MZnO, is used as the buried steel cord (3). As a consequence, the present invention is able to provide a conveyor belt (1) in which the steel cord (3) is bonded, at a high adhesion force, to the crosslinked rubber forming the belt main body.</p> |
