<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cowl top cover which can sufficiently support the load of a bonnet hood and a load applied to the cowl top cover when a hand is put thereon and can prevent the impact absorbing performance of the cowl top cover at a time when an impact load is applied thereto from being abruptly lowered during the deformation of the cowl top cover and then an excessive reaction force due to bottoming from occurring thereon. <P>SOLUTION: A vertical wall 5 the vertical center part of which is bent rearward is formed between a hood contact part 3 supporting the bonnet hood and a bottom wall 4 attached to a vehicle body panel. A plurality of reinforcement ribs 6 are disposed on the front surface side of the vertical wall 5 in the vehicle lateral direction. The vertical center part of each reinforcement rib 6 is bent in the vehicle lateral direction to form a rib bent part 6a. The load of the bonnet hood and the load applied to the cowl top cover when a hand is put thereon can be sufficiently supported by the vertical wall 5 and the plurality of reinforcement ribs 6. When an impact load is applied to the cowl top cover from above, the impact load can be absorbed by the deformation of the vertical wall 5 and the deformation of the reinforcement ribs 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
