WIRE WITH TERMINAL FITTING, AND TERMINAL FITTING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire with a terminal fitting which allows for easy positioning by applying a cylindrical cutoff coating while ensuring excellent waterproofness.

SOLUTION: A wire 1 with a terminal fitting comprises a wire 2, a terminal fitting 3 and a cylindrical cutoff coating 5. At the terminal part of the wire 2, the core wire 21 is exposed from an insulation layer 22, mounted on the bottom plate 31 of the terminal fitting 3 and crimped by a wire barrel 32. A marginal part 36 exists on the distal end side of the core wire 21 and, at both edges in the bottom plate 31 of the marginal part 36, elongated protrusions 38 are provided to rise. The protrusion 38 stabs the cutoff coating that is applied to surround the terminal fitting 3 on the rear side from the marginal part 36 together with the insulation layer at the root of the exposed core wire 21.
