<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector having a mis-insertion prevention mechanism to prevent the mis-insertion of an irregularly shaped plug, to be inserted into the connector, particularly having a smaller outer shape than a plug specified by a standard. <P>SOLUTION: A socket-type connector J, having a formed plug insertion space S including an inlet 2a to insert a plug P therein, includes: a connector body 2 having the plug insertion space S, formed by a surrounding wall 2b, to guide a plug insertion axial center CL not to be displaced in a plug insertion direction X when the plug P is inserted; a shutter plate 3 capable of opening and closing the inlet 2a; a resilient member 4 for restoring the shutter plate 3 to a closed position; and a plurality of holding release members 5 disposed to move the shutter plate 3 from a holding state position in which inward opening is disabled to a release state position in which the inward opening is enabled, by the contact of a plug outer circumference plane P2 in a state that a plug tip is not in contact to the shutter plate 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
