<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a liquid developer, for easily producing a liquid developer containing toner particles having a flat shape. <P>SOLUTION: The production method of a liquid developer includes: a coarse particle preparation step of preparing coarse particles containing a solid plasticizer and a binder resin containing polyester; and a pulverization step of mixing the coarse particles with an insulating carrier liquid and pulverizing the coarse particles by grinding force while controlling the mixture to an average temperature of (Tg-5)°C or higher and Tg°C or lower with respect to the glass transition temperature Tg°C of the coarse particles so as to obtain toner particles having a flat shape. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
