[Solution] The surface lighting device is provided with an optical element (50), a lighting device (60), and a light-guide plate (30). A laser light source (61), a scanning device (65), a Fresnel lens (68), and a mirror member (69) are disposed at the rear of the surface that is on the reverse side from a radiating surface of the light extraction section (31). As a result, it is possible for coherent light to enter from the back with respect to a hologram recording medium (55), and the recording surface of the hologram recording medium can be disposed roughly parallel to a first end surface. As a result, a narrower rim can be achieved. |
