A loading rate meter for a vessel to be filled with sand or mud comprises four risers 4, 5, 6, 7 arranged symmetrically in relation to the longitudinal axis 2 and the transverse pitching axis 10 of the vessel at the corners of a square, whose sides have a length corresponding approxmately to the half wavelength of the wave pattern to be expected, the risers being interconnected in pairs at the top by tubes 8 and 9 which are coupled in the middle by a connecting conduit 10 at the middle of which is connected a conduit 11 incorporating a device 12 adapted to measure the rate of flow of the air therethrough.</p> |
