The electric drive device (1) has an electrical direct current (DC) motor (3) equipped with electrical terminals (5,7). An electromechanical brake (29) with electrical terminals (29a,29b) is assigned to the DC motor. The terminals of brake are indirectly connected with a reference potential. The terminals of DC motor are connected with the electrical terminals of the brake along forward direction, by using the valves (31,33).
