SEAL MEMBER HAVING EXCELLENT WEAR RESISTANCE, AND SEAL STRUCTURE USING SAME

A seal member which comprises a molded rubber article produced by vulcanizing a rubber composition comprising a hydrogenated nitrile rubber (A), a carbon black (B), and a carbon black (C) and/or carbon fibers (D) and which can be used as a seal part associated with sliding, wherein the DBP oil absorption of the carbon black (B) is 250-450 ml/100 g, the DBP oil absorption of the carbon black (C) is 200 ml/100 g or less, and the carbon fibers (D) have an average fiber length of 0.05-2 mm and an average fiber diameter of 5-30 µm, and wherein the carbon black (B) is contained in an amount of 5-15 parts by mass, the carbon black (C) and/or the carbon fibers (D) are contained in the total amount of 3-35 parts by mass and the total content of the fillers is 40 parts by mass or less relative to 100 parts by mass of the hydrogenated nitrile rubber (A). The seal member thus provided has proper hardness and excellent moldability and wear resistance.
