PURPOSE: A low-toxicity semiconductor nano-particles having a core-shell structure and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to control quantum yield by controlling content amount of group I and III elements. CONSTITUTION: A low-toxicity semiconductor nano-particles having a core-shell structure comprises a core including group I, III, and VI metals and a shell formed on a core surface. A manufacturing method of low-toxicity semiconductor nano-particles comprises next steps: dispersing group I metal-carboxylate and group III metal -carboxylate in a reactor including non-reactive solvent; refluxing by heating the non-reactive solvent and injecting alkylthiol; forming the core by heating the non-reactive solvent at 150-250 deg. Celsius; cooling down to room temperature; mixing one of carboxylic acid, stearic acid, and palmitic acid with one of zinc carboxylate, zinc acetate, zinc propionate, zinc butyrate, and zinc fluorination acetate and increase the temperature to 150-250 deg. Celsius; and forming the shell by adding alkylthiol.
