PURPOSE: An ice maker is provided to make uniform-size ice and determine a complete timing of ice making by detecting a size of ice for one self. CONSTITUTION: The ice maker(100) comprises a plurality of dipping members, an ice making tray(300), a contacting unit(400), a sensing unit(500). A plurality of dipping members is connected to an evaporator(E) included in a refrigerating system. Water is filled in the ice making tray by submerging a plurality of the dipping members so that the ice is made. The contacting unit moves with contacting the ice according to an increase in a size of the ice. The contacting unit comprises a contacting member (420) and an elastic member(440). The elastic member is connected to the contacting member and the ice making tray and reconstitutes a location of the contacting member. When the ice is formed in a predetermined size, the sensing unit is connected to the contacting unit and senses a ice formation of the predetermined size.
