<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of allowing a user to surely recognize the occurrence of an error and capable of reducing power consumption more tahn before. <P>SOLUTION: A multifunctional machine 1 includes: an error detection part 10a detecting the error; a display device 15a displaying error information for informing the detected error; an operation panel 15 accepting the operation of the user; a transition permission/inhibition part 10b permitting transition into a super sleep mode (energy saving mode) in which the supply of power to the display device 15a is stopped, when the confirmation operation of the error by the user is accepted with respect to the displayed error information and inhibiting the transition into the super sleep mode, when the confirmation operation by the user is not accepted; and a power control part 10c transiting a power supply mode into the super sleep mode, on the basis of the permission/inhibition determination result by the transition permission/inhibition part 10b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
