<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet processing apparatus that prevents cutting swarf from being adhered to a fixed blade, and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The sheet processing apparatus includes an upper blade 633 capable of moving up and down and a lower blade 634 to cut a sheet bundle between the lower blade 634 and the upper blade 633 by the downward movement of the upper blade 633. When the sheet bundle is cut by the downward movement of the upper blade 633, an assisting sheet 672 is moved to a position below a blade edge of the upper blade 633 so that the cutting waste of the cut sheet bundle is dropped down without being adhered to the lower blade 634. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
