<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that restrains variation in an amount of charged toner of each toner image before secondarily transferred to a target recording material after primarily transferred to an intermediate transfer body in order from a plurality of photoreceptors. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: the plurality of photoreceptors; a plurality of developing devices for forming electrostatic latent images formed on the corresponding photoreceptors as toner images; the intermediate transfer body arranged so as to rotate while passing along each photoreceptor; a plurality of primary transfer devices for transferring the toner images formed on the corresponding photoreceptors so that they are superposed one on another on the intermediate transfer body; a secondary transfer device for transferring the toner images transferred to the intermediate transfer body to a target recording material; bias application means for applying a primary transfer bias to each primary transfer device from the bias application means; and control means for correcting each primary transfer bias applied to each primary transfer device from the bias application means such that an amount of charged toner of each toner image before secondarily transferred after transferred to the intermediate transfer body from each photoreceptor falls within a preset range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
